Halo 3 Mythic Maps arrive

Halo 3‘s long-awaited Mythic Map Pack has finally arrived on Xbox Live — at least, for those who didn’t already get it with the Halo Wars Limited Edition.
The Mythic Map Pack adds three new maps to Halo 3′s multiplayer: Assembly, Orbital and Sandbox. It can be downloaded from the Xbox Live Marketplace for 800 Microsoft Points.
The Mythic pack also contains new achievements that can be earned specifically on the new maps, such as the search for skulls hidden within them.

Well that’s interesting. Normally I would go check it out for myself but seeing as my game broke(I blame my little brother
) I guess I’ll just have to wait. Oh and is it true that you can get Recon armor from completing some of the achievements? Maybe you can fill me in on that.

It’s not specifically the Mythic Map Pack achievements that get you Recon armor, it’s the Vidmaster Challenge achievements that will — though you can’t do it yet:

One of the challenges requires Mythic, while some more will be in Halo 3: ODST, which is out later this year.
The Recon armour was originally meant for developers only. Bungie occasionally gives it out as a reward to players that do something special, like create an awesome map.
