A new map for Halo 3

Bungie announced a new map for Halo 3 at Penny Arcade Expo this weekend in Seattle.
The new map, Purple Reign, was originally intended to be a part of the Legendary Map Pack which came out last Spring. The map is reportedly based on the Covenant’s Scarab facility.
Bungie is eager to get Halo 3 back up and running in the top spot on Xbox Live. Call of Duty 4 is currently holding that honor, and Bungie can’t seem to climb back out from the #2 spot. (Poor Bungie!) They’re hoping new content will help them do just that.
