Are you suggesting that I'm being hypocritical like you describe, or is this just a general comment?

The entire game industry is founded upon one system copying another. One company comes out with cartridge-based games, which are used for years. Another comes out with joysticks. Someone was first to make a gamepad. Another first to make theirs wireless. Another first to add motion sensing. It's all about taking the previous ideas and building on them. Naturally there are many that copy with little addition (and Nintendo has always been a little more innovative, I'll give them that.) But not everything Nintendo has done is original, either.

I'm a big Xbox 360 fan. I play my Xbox 360 more than any other system. I also really like the Wii. I own one, and play it too. I think Microsoft would need to make their controller somehow different to not be a knock-off of the Wii, but that doesn't mean they shouldn't use any of this type of technology because Nintendo did it first.

I'm just not sure who is saying the things you're upset about. Myself, I don't have any particular loyalties... I own a wide range of video game systems myself. These days, I play Xbox 360 the most because I'm having the most fun with it, but that's not a stubborn loyalty. If the system becomes less fun I'll play it less. If Nintendo, Sony, or anyone makes something more fun I'll play that more.

You seem to have a very pro-Wii bias, and you seem to think that Xbox 360 fans are a bunch of buffoons. I'm not sure if that's your actual claim, but your comments suggest that Wii owners are open to others and Xbox 360 owners are loyal to a fault. In fact, most of the Xbox 360 owners I know personally also have Nintendo Wii consoles.

I'm sick and tired of systems copying other systems. What is even worse is the fans of the systems. Let me explain. for example, the Wii has many innovative features that rival other game systems, like their motion sensor controller the Wii remote. People that are die-hard Xbox 360 fans will look at the Wii and say "the Wii sucks". Fans of the Wii will say "the Wii is just as good or if not better than the Xbox 360". And fans of the Xbox 360 will not like anything about the Wii. Now lets say that Microsoft makes something so similar to something for the Wii that you could say that it is a Xbox 360 product that was cloned from a Wii product. And just because that "cloned Wii product" is available for the Xbox 360 Fans of the Xbox 360 will love it(even though they hated it for the Wii). Fans of the Wii will say "but why didn't you like it when it was for the Wii?" The Xbox 360 fans will reply "oh, because it was for the Wii". I am sick and tired of Xbox 360 fans saying that they hate a Wii product but if it was for the Xbox 360 they would love it. I find that ironic, don't you?

It doesn't work, it hasn't been released and there's no official info on it. I wouldn't count on it materializing ... maybe they'll use their new controller for a future system?

The next Xbox system is at least two years away.
